While I was still in school and had summers to myself, I took a watercolor painting class with my Mom while on a family vacation in northern Minnesota. This painting — my first and only watercolor — was the result. Lilies are among my favorite flowers.
I framed my painting after graduating from college and it’s been hanging on my wall ever since.
I took a glass art class with my Mom a few vacations ago. We played with scrap pieces of art and arranged them into hanging pieces or plates and bowls. I loved the jigsaw-puzzle aspect of putting this piece together. Inspired by a hike I had taken in Oregon, I created a lake and mountain scene.
