Teacher printable thank you card

I was talking with my Mom recently about my blog and asking her thoughts about my masthead, which I had dreamed up one night when I had nothing better to do. One thing lead to another, and I offered to make her a card using my alphabet stamps.

She’s a teacher, so the idea was to make a thank you card to give to students after they gave her a gift. We decided an apple would be a good prop, so I set up a little photo studio at my desk.

I wanted to make something cheap. Why not a printable card? I fumbled around in Word for a while, until my boyfriend suggested using Microsoft Publisher. Bingo! They have an easy-to-use format, which made aligning the photo and adding a border simple.

Ta-dah! A printable teacher thank you card!

Wedding card, Ben and Wes

I made this card for my friends Ben and Wes, who had a beautiful wedding reception that I was lucky enough to attend in Baltimore.

I made the card while visiting my parents and siblings in Arizona. I love crafting with family — and I loved using some of my Mom’s scrapbooking kit supplies.

The challenging aspect of this card was creating an ampersand — they are surprisingly hard to draw freehand! I created a pattern from a computer font for the ampersand (&).
